 That doesn't solve the issue in a proportional manner. It would be better
 to solve a captcha or use an anonymous token for certain kinds of
 interactive activity over blanket denial.

 It also doesn't solve any of the other issues - such as the code running
 in people's browsers, the PII collected and so on. I'd rather a user have
 an option to hit an archive that is unrelated at that point - wouldn't
 you?
