Comment:

 This is one of many design decisions to be made when rewriting Onionoo in
 Python.  But given that there hasn't been progress on pyonionoo coding in
 the past 16 months, let's not keep this ticket open.  Whoever may pick up
 pyonionoo coding in the future will want to make their own design
 decisions anyway.  Closing.
