 A stack trace would still be excellent.  Tor should never crash; if it
 does, there are other bugs at work here.

 (For what it's worth, I just tried creating a root-owned unreadable torrc
 and running against it, but it didn't get a crash like this, so there's
 probably something else going on here too.)
