 What is interesting here is that the hardened builds provided by Mozilla
 don't have this problem. Testing with the earliest build I found
 (https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2013/09/2013-09-17-00-40-04
 -mozilla-aurora/firefox-25.0a2.en-US.linux-x86_64-asan.tar.bz2) I was not
 able to trigger the problem while it is quite easy to hit it at least up
 to and including Fx 29 built with GCC 4.8.2 and ASan and our build config.
