 Hm. Looks about right.  It needs two things afaict: a changes file, and
 explicit documentation for connection_mark_for_close{,_internal}
 explaining which one you call when, and when you need to call
 connection_or_close_.* instead, and when you would want to do what the
 connection_handle_{read,write}_impl functions do.
