 So I deleted my Tor folder as per the uninstall instructions and then
 redownloaded and reinstalled (11/9/2017). Then, not only did the security
 slider forget which level I set, but Tor no longer remembered whether I
 wanted to use a bridge or not (every time I restarted, I was presented
 with the settings screen). Thinking my Firefox install (with NoScript)
 might be the problem, I also uninstalled Firefox (I had 3 versions
 installed somehow), restarted and reinstalled Tor a few times, and
 eventually I got Tor to where I remembers my connection preferences.
 However, it still does not remember my security slider setting (and the
 NoScript icon does not show up now).
