 Are we still considering doing this?

 For Tor Browser, we decided ''not'' to allow hostnames in bridge lines due
 to concerns that, with either a DNS leak or a malicious Exit or etc., that
 clients of the bridge would get hijacked and sent to a malicious bridge
 elsewhere.
