Comment (by mcs):

 Following gk's suggestion, I just created a maint-0.2.7 branch within the
 tor-launcher repo (based at the 0.2.7.7 tag). The changes for this ticket
 will go on master and we will want to use the maint-0.2.7 branch for our
 stable releases.
