There are worlds between a Rasperry Pi1 and the DigitalOcean VPS. $5 is dirt cheap. What provider do you use?

Don't know if this is normal in the US but compared to my provider this is really expensive.

That's why I asked if there's something special about D.O. that makes that price appropriate.

It's like you're running a Rasperry Pi 1 with an SSD and a good Network for 5$/month.
