Re the Donations 
There is an ATO Ruling that states that donated goods are GST free if they
aren't altered.

The example is donated clothing is GST free but once you tear it up into
rags it incurs a GST.

I read the Vic @nd hand deaqlers Act but it was unclear so I'll give the
Dept a ring. meanwhile our original advice from Clayton Utz was that we
didn't require 2nd hand license as the volume was small and it isn't our
primary occupation.
