DrGenius moved out of SEUL
Because of different position regarding free software and
proprietary ones on GNU/Linux, I have to detach the
DrGenius project from the SEUL organization.
The new page of DrGenius is at http://ofset.sourceforge.net/drgenius,
I ask to the administrator - Roger I guess - to immediatly
delete this mailing and the web site of DrGenius and DrGeo as well as
my account at Seul.
A new mailing list has been setup and all information needed
to subscribe can be found at the new web page of DrGenius.
In attachment follow an official letter explaining the split.

Doug, Roger,
We have already argue a lot together about the license issue. You
know my exactly thinking on this issue. I'm personally convince that
Seul/Edu is hurting the free software community in education with a
pragmatic position that argue that every good software can help the
growth of GNU/Linux in education.
I think the point is not to get GNU/Linux or FreeBSD or GNU/Hurd or
whatever free operating system, I think the point is to get free
software for education: this means free operating system but also end
user applications.
I think that each time spent advocating for port of commercial
education soft to the GNU system hurts the free software community in
education because this is time that is not spent supporting free
education software.
I think that each publicity made about non free education software on
GNU/Linux hurt free education software because this is publicity that
is not done for a free education software.
Finally, and probably the worst effect, each time spent talking about
commercial education software is a lost time for advocating free
software philosophy and its benefice for education.
It is my believing that you don't believe in the free software
community in education and that commercial education soft is all will
need the education.
My believing is that we have to try, this is not an easy task, to make
a better world.
Because of this, I want to detach myself of Seul and I ask you to
remove both DrGeo and DrGenius project from SEUL.
Because of these same reasons the Free Software Foundation has also
decided to remove the SEUL reference they had on their organization
page.
Sincerely,
Hilaire
