Re: [f-cpu] "There is another system"

hi !

Hi, it has nothing to do with f-cpu. It is modular

thank you, i have read it too :-)

the real problem is the whole trademark thing,
F-CPU is "registered" in France (and no other
country because it is too expensive).
The "duty" of the trademark co-owners
(several french guys including me) is to
actively check that it is used correctly,
otherwise the brand might lose legal value.

here, and with the other links as well,
there is nothing to do, because these
are german, spanish and tchech systems
and the name and logo F-CPU are
only registered in France.
However i'm particularly worried
about the Siemens boxes because
they are likely to be sold in France as well,
and there is the exact same spelling (with the
dash). And they certainly have wealthy lawyers.

Don't forget that my goal is to protect our
project. This includes passive and active
measures, dictated by the french law and
jurisprudence. It was very dificult to organise
the registering of the brand, but we suceeded
in order to protect the name that we had
established. It prevents anybody from using
the F-CPU name against our will. If we don't
enforce this right, it can be voided.
And if it becomes void, not only our efforts
will become vain, but the project can be
threatened. These are the stakes.

Now, the goal is not to chase other projects
and go to court all the time, we are gentlemen.
But we must reach agreements, and face reality.
