I thought this would be of interest:

It's the Free Software Foundation analysis of different 
licenses.  I know somebody mentioned the Artistic License, 
but they criticize some vague sections in it that are probably 
not upholdable in court.  They also (surprise!) recommend some 
licenses other than GPL.  We should (sometime in future)
think about this carefully...
