gEDA-bug: [Bug 698365] Re: some gnetlist backends need to be updated

I can't find the "fixes which were applied to the PCB and pads backends"
in 2006.

However, the bug description seems to do with fixing backends so that
they don't overflow the Guile stack. Since I've now gone through every
PCB backend ensuring that they are either tail-recursive or iterative,
I'm going to assume that the particular issues referred to by this bug
are fixed.

Title:
some gnetlist backends need to be updated

Status in GPL Electronic Design Automation tools:
  Invalid

Bug description:
The fixes which were applied to the PCB and pads
backend need to be merged over to the maxascii backend.

As far as I can see, there were two fixes:

  1) gnetlist:wrap was overflowing

  2) display-connections needs to be iterative instead of
  recursive

There may be more issues, careful examination of the
  backends is required.

Dave Lawrence also has a new version of the maxascii
  backend.
