gEDA-bug: [Bug 698543] Re: gschem: hierarchy up/down ERROR
Simple test case. Do the following:
1. gschem 1.sch 2.sch (new files).
2. close warning dialogs
3. add to 1.sch a symbol, say resistor-1.sym
4. select it and <Shift+h s> to go down the symbol
5. <Shift+h u> to go back
6. <p n> to go to the next page (2.sch)
7. add to 2.sch the same symbol resistor-1.sym
8. select it and <Shift+h s> to go down the symbol
9. <Shift+h u> to go back -- and notice where you are.
You also can open page manager to see what's happening. If
you add sub-schematics and add the same symbols to them and
to the toplevel schematic, you will always come back after
"hierarchy up" to the place where you've went down the
symbol for the first time.
Attached is a patch to solve this.

Title:
gschem: hierarchy up/down ERROR
Status in GPL Electronic Design Automation tools:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Sometimes there is a wrong behavior if i have a hierarchic schematic
and go down to sub-schematic and back.
It happens that i step down and do something with the schematic e.g. draw nets, add components, go down to symbol-level (up again to sub-schematic level), etc.
Now i try to reach the toplevel (starting point) schematic - Sometimes it doesn't work.
