gEDA and PCB have separate bug trackers.. it might be worth filing a
separate bug against PCB and removing the "pcb" tag from the gEDA one.
For PCB, please take a look at the official tag list for which part of
PCB the bug affects.

Bug description:
  Automatically add a note to the version string that says which branch/fork/development-version it was compiled from. This would help to avoid confusion for testers like me.
