  Save fails fairly quietly

Status in GPL Electronic Design Automation tools:
  New

Bug description:
  If a .sch file has the wrong permissions, save operations fail but not
   very obviously. (I think it turns up in the log - but not as, say, a
   popup). The program does keep track of this, and prompts you to save
   before exitting, but if you haven't seen the log message, this is
   confusing.

   In general, when a log message indicates a serious failure, can it be a
   popup?
