gEDA-bug: [Bug 708751] Re: can't pan during placement

[esc] comes to mind. Escape does this job in many other applications,
including inkscape and pcb.

Status in GPL Electronic Design Automation tools:
  New

Bug description:
  Currently, right mouse click immediately ends a placement action in
  gschem. This prevents me from panning the view with right mouse drag
  during placement. Zoom with the mouse wheel works as expected.
