Summary: autogen.sh doesn't stop on all errors
Initial Comment:
Filing for a friend..
I just spend some time debugging a build with him, and it turns out that our autogen.sh script doesn't stop on failures. In this case, it was the fact that autopoint(?) didn't succeed due to cvs not being installed. (WTF?)
( cd libgeda; ./autogen.sh )
autogen.sh creating configure.ac
processing .
autogen.sh running: autopoint ...
autopoint: *** cvs program not found
autopoint: *** Stop.
autogen.sh running: intltoolize ...
autogen.sh running: libtoolize ...
libtoolize: putting auxiliary files in `.'.
libtoolize: copying file `./ltmain.sh'
As a related bug.. (althoug perhaps justifiable), we don't mention that we even need CVS to build. I wonder if the fact it isn't installed along with the appropriate gettext / autotools is infact a Debian / Ubuntu packaging bug.
