You're supposed to provide specific steps to reproduce. On unstable.
Because AFAIK it's fixed there (I spent several days working on it to
fix it).

It's a known bug on stable that won't be fixed because the changes are
too invasive.

Status in GPL Electronic Design Automation tools:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Some gnetlist backends crash because of stack overflow when confronted
  with moderately complex boards. Backends known to crash this ay are
  bom2 and drc2. This is a long standing issue, that frequently catches
  newbies. The gnetlist FAQ contains the advice to increase the stack at
  least since 2006.

  Suggestion: Include the advice of the FAQ in the system-gentlistrc.

  Long term solution would of course be better stack management.
