Caused by the autoplace-pin-attributes which is active in default system-gschemrc.
Maybe autoplace-pin-attributes should only be enabled for add-pin-hook?

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Noticed this when flipping a pin which I'd explicitly set the pinlabel
  attribute to middle left / middle right aligned. When flipping, the
  left/right sense changed as expected, but the vertical alignment was
  reset to "lower" attachment.
