Summary: crash when loading a symbol or a schematic with accent

Initial Comment:
When I add some french text with accentuated letters
(like 'Ã') in gschem (schematic or component), it allow
me to save the file, but when a reload the file, gschem
may crash.

Linux 2.6.12-12mdk (Mandriva)
i686 Pentium II (Deschutes)

gEDA compiled from CD geda-install-20060907.iso

Crash log :

/usr/local/share/geda/bin/gschem
gEDA/gschem version 20060906

Find attached a symbol which when selected in the
device selector makes gschem crash.

To solve the crash in this file, it's enough to remove
the strange characters inside.

We should read : "Cette chaÃne va faire crasher gEDA !"
and not "Cette chaÃÂne va faire crasher gEDA !"
