Thanks for all the links guys, this one is closest to what I was
thinking of. (Although I might use D-Sub crimps for the small wire size
- depending on whether it looks like I can get a cheap tool to crimp
them).
No one I'd spoken to here, nor at our PCB fabrication house had heard of
them. I tried searching for "ferrule" and various other terms, but only
found the usual bootlace ferrule types we use in control panels etc.
