gEDA-user: document hierarchy

Hi,

I would like to use gschem components like diode/bridge with different
pinout that they have in library.

The obvious solution is to copy these to project directory, modify and
use. 

But there seems to be faster solution - embedding.

The problem is that when I embed component into schematics and I do
"down symbol" in hierarchy - I see nothing. Like empty symbol.

Is this known problem?

If the symbol is not embedded, "down symbol" command shows symbol's
internals.
