1. Which PCB are you using (I assume the Gtk snapshot)?

2. What is your grid set to?  You probably won't see "snapping" unless
   the grid is relatively large.  Try 100mils for starters.

3. Do you have "Enable visible grid" checked?  If so, do you see the
   grid dots?  If not, the grid is too fine to be useful; try zooming
   in.
