gEDA-user: hierachical schematic

I have been searching for a documentation on hierarchical design. The
only thing I found is that I should include a source=xxx.sch attribute
in the symbol I insert into the upper level schematic. Could you please
provide some link to some documentation, or just a working example of
this topic?
