The biggest advantage of FET SSRs is the possibility to switch off when
you want. Simple Thyrister/Triacs mostly stay on for the rest of the
cycle.

At 24V, you probably want MOSFETs because of the lower voltage drop and
less dissipation. A th/triac easily drops 1.5 - 2V which would mean
heatsinks.
