Is 'guile-config' available from the command line?
mine is:
carl@tucksLinux 150 which guile-config
/usr/local/bin/guile-config
and
carl@tucksLinux 149 guile-config --version
guile-config - Guile version 1.6.3
If the above two dont work, then You might try finding the rpm for
'guile-1.6.0-4' and do a
rpm -qpil <path to rpm>
which will list out what is installed and where. Then make sure that path
is your $PATH.
If that isnt it, then it is probably a separate problem
