Did you know that Sourceforget sux in my eyes? I often had problems with
overloaded servers or "being under maintenance right now" in the past
with Sourceforget. This is annoying.

Also, they seem to make money from the fact they host projects (at least from
the adverts). I probably wouldn't host my project there because would be pissed
off by the fact, unless they made money for my project in return.

The adverts are annoying for the user too ;-)

I didn't experience any problems of this kind with mailing lists or single
e-mail addresses.
