[gftp] recursive chmod?

Could the chmod command be made recursive (with a checkbox to disable it on 
the chmod dialog)?  Delete is already recursive, and it even recurses to 
count files/dirs *before* confirming the deletion, so I should think that 
much/most of the work for a recursive chmod is already done.  What do you think?
