Some rough ideas:

SCP to a linux box: there is a windows client which allows secure copy
to an ssh-friendly *nix machine. The url is mentioned in the seul
archives.

Set up the Winbox to act as a gateway to share dialup networking - the
two boxes have to be networked though (I assume this is the case
already).

Change FTP clients. I've used WS_FTP for quite a while, McGill has it on
the dialup page: http://www.mcgill.ca/das
