GTC: resuming work on GTC

For the few subscribers, I'm just announcing that I'm slowly resuming work
on GTC. I've added pthread support which will help the SDL port, which in
turn will help the Windows port. Note that Cygnus has a pthread-win32, so
I didn't just shoot myself in the foot thank you. The next few items on
the agenda are the Windows port and loading Jussi's new cool spaceship
mesh. CORBA bindings may or may not wind up in the standard distribution
so I won't discuss them even though that's one of the most urgent thing
for me to do.
