AOL uses TCP/IP as far as I can remember.  check out 
C:\Programs\Accesories\*.scp ( I think ) if you can find a Windows 95
runing PC nearby.  It shuld have DUN connect scripts for AOL and 
Compuserv.

If it dose then you mearly have to read those entrys and then generate 
DUD, PPPD, and KPPP scripts to match.

Look out for AOL improvements on Linux soon.  It wold be trivial for 
Netscape to impliment and post on mozilla.org
