I don't understand the first portion of the first sentence. Do you mean:

"For both KDE and fonts or font servers..." ?
"Both font servers and widgets like neXtaW can be..." ?
"In KDE, both font servers and widgets ..." ?

Since you listed some of the graphics apps it might be a good idea to list
some of the sound apps and games too.
