Suspicious network traffic

I found that my eth0 RX value is increased about 2 MBytes / 5 minutes. 

But if I run iptraf, I dont see any traffic coming into eth0.

I tried using tcpdump -i eth0 , and also see not so much traffic.

Is this normal behaviour of eth0 ?

I found this by executing "ifconfig eth0" several times and watched the RX value.

Any idea why this happens ?
