Wierd. Here's the gdb dump and backtrace I got:
(Sorry for the strings being ?-marked out, it's more than a little
difficult to try to reverse-determine foreign-language characters the
terminal feels like printing. :-)

This error is caused by:
./iptraf -f
<pick exit>
gdb ./iptraf
<press enter>
<press enter>

It is wholly repeatable on my system, both in real hardware and through
VMWare using the same physical drive to boot from. The './iptraf -f' part
doesn't seem to affect things at all, but was put in for completeness to
assure I wasn't running into a stale lock problem, since the program warns
about such when it crashes.

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
