I don't see why disconnecting an interface must immediately trigger a TCP
connection shutdown. It doesn't on my MacBook when I `ifconfig en1 down' the
airport device. My ssh sessions survive intact. I just did it while writing
this e-mail, which is being composed in mutt over ssh. Several times, even.
Using both ifconfig and the task bar tool.
