Thanks for the clarifications.
I will try to make a small POC to reproduce the issue and get an strace from that. The app I'm working on (Envoy) is quite big and makes it a bit hard to quickly test assumptions. Especially if you suspect the eventports issue might be related to the EAGAIN issue.
