Automake/Autoconf and other build issues

Just found the following page:

It gives an introduction to all the standard ways of building a
program, haven't yet a deeper look at it, but it looks very
interessting. 

Another autoconf/automake document is at:

But it is in Czech, or so, I don't understand that language. So I can
not say anything about it.
