Changing servers

What sort of resources would be needed on the new server?  (HD space,
programs, etc?)  About how many hits/day does the site get?  Would you
mind interfacing w/PostgreSQL instead of MySQL?  Etc.

The reason I'm asking is b/c our project's looking at getting a new
server, and I'd like to check with the project head to see if we could
host the site.  The more info I can present him with, the better.

On a related note, has anyone talked to the folks over at linuxgames.com
to see if they'd be willing to host the site? 
development.linuxgames.com has a nice ring to it....
