Status Report

Whelp, I've been pretty busy the last week, so I won't go into too much
detail.  If you want to know more let me know.

- Bug stomping in devball: about 8 hours.  That's right, there we're
actually bugs in my scripts.  Sorry to disappoint everyone who thought I
coded without errors.  :-)  Look for 1.0.9 later this week to update htdig
conf's (note that this is a feature add, not a bug fix).  Anyways, I've
gotten confirmation from Micah that "it works!  Cool!".

- Search engine stuff.  Finding bugs in Marc's htdig patches (he'll try to
fix them this week).   Also, I've spent about 10-15 hours working on
Search.pm and the search forms.  Short list is:
	- Various speedups, including getting rid of a fork() for each
	search, and removing close to 100 lines of code from Search.pm.
	- Feature enhancements to Search.pm and PHP search forms (keeping
	state between forms, etc)
	- Finding other bugs and getting rid of them too.
	- Replace star.gif with flame.gif

- I brought on Hugo Rabson.  I've been talking to Hugo off and on for over
a month now, and I'm really excited that he's decided to come on board
with us.  Hugo has some great ideas for integrating the KB backend with
console and X applications from Gnome, KDE, etc and I'm sure his list of
ideas will keep us busy for a long time.  I hope everyone will take 5
minutes to look over his RAPI spec sheet and comment.
