CVS & devball improvements
Well after about a week of hacking at it, I finally have re-worked a lot
of how Search.pm and the PHP forms work. I think everything works once
again, but I'm going to need to take a break from it and look again to
really find out for sure. Anyways, the forms are even more intellegent
than they used to be, and for the first time ever the drill down and
restrict by document type work at the same time! I'm also passing a comma
delimited list of words (&words=) to type 7 and 6 "hits". The goal is to
allow article.php3 to highlight these words for the user like altavista
used to.
Anyways, Marc ported over his htdig 3.1.3 patch to 3.1.4, so I've included
it and new htdig templates which work with the new Search.pm which I
commited to CVS today in the new devball (version 1.1.0).
If you expect any part of the search engine to work for you, you'll need
to make sure that you're using the latest devball and the latest CVS
snapshot.
Anyways, on more good news, I've got the rest of the month off from work;
except that I'm on call New Year's Eve (sucks!). I'm sure my g/f is going
to want lots of my time, but I'll be sure to make plently of time
available for the project too. I think I'm basically done with the search
engine for alpha go live, so I'm kinda looking for things to do. Wish I
knew more PHP, but if someone needs some Perl help... Anyways hollar if
you need some help.
