Using wget, I can pre-convert the man pages and info pages 
into HTML, then can use the html for the input to the indexer.

OK.  I'll look at the simple UI first, then the automated stuff
later.  I really want to do someting with the auto-indexing....

BTW, interesting thread on the doc format, etc.
