I thought we wanted to do it this way so that we wouldn't have to recompile
and install htsearch for each module as well, we would have one central
location to upgrade.  I could have the CVS scripts handle that file
specifically in my scripts, if we decide that is the best solution, though I
think it is a messy solution.

How about having apache set /home/htdig/bin as an alias to /htsearchbin or
something and allowing execution from there, calling htsearch with the -c
command in our scripts?
