Yes and no.  From the Freshmeat about page:

The site itself consists of bazillions of PHP scripts either generating
static content (about 80% of the site has been converted to static files
due to the massive amount of machine load generated by dynamic content)

That I knew, but what about the search results page?  My impression was
that it would be the same as the drill-down page, but instead of a listing
the articles in the current section it would display the search results.
