Ok, read the doc's too late.  I need to change the permission on a file to
755, but I can't 'cuz CVS remembers it to be 664.  I even tried a cvs
delete/cvs commit/chmod 755 file/cvs add/cvs commit, but it still
inherited the old permissions.

the file in question is:

main/perl/search.pl

which should be 755 since it needs to be executable.
