CVS screwy

I'm using CVS like I've done for a few weeks now, and all of a sudden
things are screwy.

When i do a 'cvs commit' and cvs deletes the lib, cgi-bin, and html
directory trees in /home/http/prepub/dev/

If I do a second cvs commit (I have to change something of course) the
directories come back.  A few times, Apache gets really confused, and has
to be restarted when this happens.

The log shows:

BTW, I have the basic mod_perl search functionality working- ie I can
successfully call htsearch from my mod_perl search function.  All that's
left is formatting it and working the dynamic header stuff. ;-)
