Hm. I was just trying to convey the "core" features that I thought OODS
will need. It's the only reason I mentioned security - perhaps you think

Well - I really don't know of a better thing to call these "objects"
because "objects" is what they are. In the world of programming, an
"object" is a collection of properties and methods. Exactly what OODS
will maintain. OODS == Open "Object" Directory Services... it's right
there in the title of the application. I was looking at this document as
targeting more developer-minded people... if the term object is too
confusing, then you're right - this document is not for them.
Just my opinion. I'm open to further discussion on that though... anyone
else have thoughts?

I understand and agree with that. I wanted to get enough information in
writing so that we could discuss it as a group... that was my main goal
for version 0.5 of the document. I'll be happy to discuss all the ideas
you have presented here, along with other peoples ideas for the version we
post or whatever.

Again - I'm not sure exactly what you mean by this. I tried to avoid a
lot of detail in this version of the document - do you think that what you
are referring to should be there in this version? If so, I need more
detail on your thoughts.
