Weekly Status Report
November 9, 1999 to November 15, 1999

Most of this past week was spent learning the underlying structure of the
objects system so I can assist our eminent leader in adding and maintaining
the knowledge base objects.  Question and answer objects have been added and
will be finished shortly after new article submission is done.

A new script has been added to admin for those of us who need to work with the
objects, showobjects.php3.  This should be useful to anyone who works with the
objects and needs an up to date listing of the objectTypes, properties, and
actions.  If you need it, there is a link to it on the admin site.

CVS tree directory pruning has not yet been completed, hopefully that will get 
scheduled this week.

Specialized CVS handling of render.php3 has finally been implemented.  If anyone
needs special handling of any other files, please let me know.

There have been reports of permissions problems when core developers add new
files to the CVS tree then use the webupdate script.  If you are adding a new
file, please use the webupdate script at a terminal login if at all possible, as
it fixes the permissions of added files.  The web based update script cannot fix
CVS permissions as it runs as cvsadm, not as you.
