External Site Mirroring & Indexing - Delegation Conditionally Accepted(fwd)

Ilya makes some comments below that I thought I should share with the rest
of the group.  Obviously not everyone is on the same page (at least I
don't agree with Ilya).  So what do people think?  Should "regular
documents" regarding Linux system administration (like the LDP How-To's or
the articles in the Linux Gazzete) be in the LKB document tree?  My
personal take on this is:

1) Mirror useful web sites locally (as in the LDP)
2) Add entries in the KB tree pointing to these mirrored documents
3) Display these documents "in-line" with the regular LKB
headers/footers/etc that internal documents have.

Basically the more documentation that we index in the KB ther better, as
long as we keep the quality high.  Mirroring other sites without putting
it in the KB tree is rather pointless, because then we loose our main
feature- the organization of the KB tree.

	As I see it, a knowledge base should contain only knowledge base information. Further links could be provided in a fashion as Jason describes in his Objects documentation. Those can be checked by a link-checker, and marked with each failure as more unreliable until finally removed from the Knowledge Base (or atleast marked as inactive and not checked again until explicitly enabled). The KB is a place for direct answers (such as the Microsoft KB is), not for docs.
